Spain among the 10 EU countries where construction is growing the most
The figures for the month of July prepared by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat) affirm that Spain places itself one more month as one of the most active members of the EU in terms of the construction sector.
Activity in the sector picked up 3.6% in the EU as a whole in July compared to the same month the previous year, while in the euro area it increased by 3.4%, according to the latest data published by Eurostat. These rebounds respond to the revival of building construction and civil engineering.
Hungary is the one with the highest increase in construction activity with a rebound of 22.6% compared to July 2016. It is followed by Sweden (21.2%), Poland (19.8%), Slovakia (14.7% ) and Slovenia (8.8%). Following are Bulgaria (7.9%) and Spain (5.4%).
