Zinc oxide (ZnO) powder can increase the friction and wear resistance of the brake pads due to its high heat resistance and melting point. The addition of ZnO in the brake pads led to greater hardness, impact strength, flexural strength and wear resistance.

A very fine, high purity grade (Gold seal) is offered, with d50 of 0,5 microns.
