What are the key advantages of using LiT (LTO) as an anode material compared to traditional graphite?

Using our LiT series LTO powder as an anode material offers several critical advantages over conventional graphite:

  • Enhanced Safety: LTO operates at a higher electrochemical potential (~1.55 V vs. Li/Li⁺). This intrinsically prevents the formation of lithium dendrites during fast charging and limits the formation of an unstable Solid Electrolyte Interphase (SEI) layer, drastically reducing the risk of internal short circuits and thermal runaway.
  • Superior Cycle Life: LTO is known as a "zero-strain" material, meaning its crystal structure undergoes negligible volume change during lithium-ion insertion and extraction. This structural stability results in an exceptionally long cycle life, often exceeding 10,000 cycles with minimal capacity degradation, which is ideal for applications demanding extreme durability.
  • Fast Charging & Low-Temperature Performance: The stable structure allows for exceptionally high charge and discharge rates (high C-rates) with high efficiency. LiTNano consists of sub-micron, nano-scale particles (d50 of 300-400 nm), providing a much higher specific surface area to enhance rate capability and power density for the most demanding high-power applications.
